Our Vision
We believe in the potential of youth everywhere, especially in underserved communities in Sri Lanka. Our ultimate goal is to empower young leaders in Sri Lanka by enhancing their leadership skills, giving them the tools they need to lead with confidence, make impactful decisions, and drive positive change in their communities.
Our Plan
To make this initiative a success, we’ve laid the groundwork carefully:
- Planning: Our dedicated team of volunteer experts has been developing this program over the last six months.
- Partnerships: We’ve partnered with ten academics from Jaffna University, who will contribute their time and knowledge as volunteer facilitators.
- We are proud to partner with Eekai Foundation, whose unwavering commitment to community development has been instrumental in making our programs a reality. Their generous contributions and long-term support ensure that this initiative will continue to empower young leaders in Sri Lanka for years to come. Additionally, we’ve formed logistical partnerships with SJC87 Initiatives in Jaffna to support the delivery of the program.
How You Can Help?
Our total budget for the YLP-Jaffna initiative over the next two years is $25,000. CFLI has already allocated $10,000 from its own resources, and the Eekai Foundation has pledged up to $5,000. We still need an additional $10,000 to fully fund the program.
Over the past 12 years, you have generously supported CFLI and its initiatives in Canada. Now, we are asking for your help to nurture the next generation of leaders in Sri Lanka. With your support, we can take YLP home to Jaffna and beyond.
All donations over $20 qualifies for a Tax receipt and issued by our funding partner Eekai Foundation, a registered charity in Canada.
